RCB Post Mammoth 250/3 As Padikkal And David Star Against CSK

Royal Challengers Bengaluru delivered a commanding performance in the 11th match of the IPL 2026 against Chennai Super Kings at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Batting first, RCB amassed a formidable 250/3 in their allotted 20 overs, registering the highest total of the season so far.

Despite losing the toss, RCB began confidently with Virat Kohli and Philip Salt putting together 37 runs for the opening wicket in just 4.3 overs. Kohli scored a brisk 28 off 18 deliveries before departing, while Salt continued the momentum with a well-compiled 46 off 30 balls, striking three boundaries and two sixes.

Devdutt Padikkal maintained his impressive run, notching up his second successive half-century. He scored 50 off 29 balls, including five fours and two sixes. Padikkal also stitched a rapid 58-run stand in only 21 balls with skipper Rajat Patidar, further strengthening RCB’s position.

Rajat Patidar and Tim David accelerated the innings in the final overs with a stunning unbeaten partnership of 99 runs off just 35 balls. Patidar remained unbeaten on 48 from 19 deliveries, smashing six sixes, while David produced a sensational knock of 70 not out off 25 balls, including eight sixes and three fours. Their explosive batting ensured a daunting total for CSK.

CSK’s Bowling Effort

Chennai Super Kings struggled to contain the flow of runs, with Anshul Kamboj, Jamie Overton, and Shivam Dube managing to claim one wicket each.

Under Ruturaj Gaikwad’s leadership, CSK fielded a side featuring Sanju Samson (wicketkeeper), Ayush Mhatre, Sarfaraz Khan, Shivam Dube, Prashant Veer, Jamie Overton, Noor Ahmad, Anshul Kamboj, Matt Henry, and Khaleel Ahmed.

RCB, captained by Rajat Patidar, included Philip Salt, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Tim David, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Abhinandan Singh, and Jacob Duffy.

With such a massive total on the board, RCB placed themselves in a commanding position, showcasing their batting depth and intent as the tournament progresses.
