List of Indian players to miss IPL 2023.
The same is true for the franchises in the Indian Premier League, as numerous teams have lost key players prior to the 16th edition of the most difficult Twenty20 league in the world. Even though there are a lot of players but Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah, are on the roster. Here are the Indian players to miss out the IPL 2023.
Players to miss out IPL 2023 due to injury
1. Rishab Pant- Delhi capitals
When we look at the list of injured players ahead of the IPL 2023, the Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant, who was in a terrible car accident in December of last year, is the first name that comes to mind. Rishabh is currently in the rehabilitation phase after undergoing surgery to recover from the accident. He won’t play for the Capitals in the IPL and will likely be out of international cricket for nearly six months. Rishabh Pant’s replacement has not been named by Delhi team management, but David Warner has been named captain in his place.
2. Jasprit Bumrah- Mumbai Indians
Jasprit Bumrah, a fast bowler for the Mumbai Indians, has been one of the main factors in the franchise’s recent success, winning the Indian Premier League the majority of the time. However, Bumrah will undergo surgery shortly after being ruled out of this year’s IPL due to a back injury. Jofra Archer will lead Mumbai’s pace attack in his absence because the Indian fast bowler has not been replaced.
3. Shreyas Iyer- Kolkata Knight Riders
In the Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders have won twice and have been doing well. The team’s captaincy was given to Shreyas Iyer, who was acquired by the KKR management at the IPL 2022 mega auction for a staggering INR 11.00 crore. Under Iyer’s leadership, the team performed admirably, but it was unable to advance to the tournament’s playoffs. Shreyas was sent for scans because he complained of back issues while playing for India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. The team captain could miss the Indian Premier League 2023 for his team because of the injury, which may take some time to heal. However, the Indian right-handed batsman’s captaincy or player replacement has not been announced by the team management.
