North Mumbai Panthers, captained by Prithvi Shaw, secured their maiden victory in the T20 Mumbai League 2025 by defeating ARCS Andheri by five wickets at Wankhede Stadium on Friday.
Shaw set a strong foundation with a brisk 33 runs off 23 balls, supported ably by opening partner Divyaansh Saxena, who scored 36 from 31 deliveries, steering the Panthers to a competitive total.
Meanwhile, at DY Patil Stadium, MSC Maratha Royals triumphed over Eagle Thane Strikers by six wickets in the day’s third match.
The Royals’ win was powered by commanding half-centuries from skipper Siddhesh Lad and Chinmay Sutar, guiding their team comfortably past the target.
Earlier, in a marquee clash featuring India’s white-ball stars, Shreyas Iyer’s SoBo Mumbai Falcons narrowly defeated Suryakumar Yadav’s Triumphs Knights Mumbai North East by four wickets in a tense contest at Wankhede Stadium.
Put in to bat first, the Knights struggled on a seam-friendly pitch and posted 145 for five.
After Suryakumar Yadav’s early dismissal for just one run, opener Siddhant Adhatrao provided resistance with a gritty 57.
He put on a 46-run partnership with Suryansh Shedge, who remained unbeaten on 49, before falling to Nikhil Giri.

A late unbeaten 33-run stand between Shedge and Makarand Patil (13) gave the Knights some momentum heading into the chase.
The Falcons’ innings began shakily as Hitesh Kadam dismissed Ishan Mulchandani and Shreyanssh Rai in quick succession.
However, Iyer (13) and Angkrish Raghuvanshi steadied the ship with a 54-run partnership before Iyer fell LBW to Parikshit Valsangkar.
Vinayak Bhoir (33) and Akash Parkar (30) then took charge with a crucial 56-run partnership, bringing the Falcons within striking distance.
Despite Bhoir’s dismissal, Parkar and Kush Kariya held their nerve to guide the Falcons home with four balls remaining.
In the opening match of Day 3 at DY Patil Stadium, Bandra Blasters edged out Aakash Tigers by a single run in a nail-biting finish.
Paceman Dhanit Raut led the charge with a sharp bowling performance, claiming 4 for 29 as the Blasters defended a modest total of 153.
Chasing 154, Aakash Tigers faced early setbacks, losing four wickets for just 20 runs.
Veteran opener Jay Bista fought valiantly, scoring a brisk 55 off 48 balls with four fours and two sixes. However, once Raut dismissed Bista, the Tigers lost momentum and finished on 152 for eight.
Earlier, Bandra Blasters had recovered from a shaky start with Om Keshkamat top-scoring at 40 and Dhrumil Matkar adding a valuable 33 runs.
For the Tigers, left-arm spinner Shams Mulani impressed with 3 for 12 in his tidy spell.
