Khasdar Krida Mahotsav Season 5 Begins Soon

“Khasdar Krida Mahotsav,” On January 8, 2023 the city of Oranges will host the start of Season 5 of the nation’s first grassroots multisport event, which will be marketed as Chak de, Khelo Nagpur Khelo.

From January 8 to 22, 2023, the fifth edition of this multisport discipline will be held in practically every area of the city.
The organising team of this one-of-a-kind athletic event intends to make the fourth edition of KKM even larger and better. In 2023, 54 games will be contested at 62 city locations in KKM-5.
On Saturday, the dates and location were announced at a glitzy event at Suresh Bhat hall.

Over 2500 players and officials attended the event at which Union Minister for Road and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari announced the dates and various sporting disciplines that will be played across the city in the fifth edition of the sporting bonanza and distributed flags to association representatives.

The event’s distinguished guests included Bollywood actor and bodybuilder Thakur Anoop Singh, Indian wrestler Sangita Phogat, and Padmabhushan, Padmashree Paralympic Gold medallist Devendra Jhajharia.

Sandip Joshi, the event’s chief convener and former mayor, made the opening remarks. MLC Pravin Datke, Mohan Mate, and many others shared the dais as guests of honour on the occasion.

The Khasdar Krida Mahotsav is the idea of Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari

It gives a platform not only for fitness lovers and amateur players, but also for the city’s professional players. To demonstrate their ability in a tournament format at the grassroots level.

The Chak De, Khelo Nagpur Khelo, Khasdar Krida Mahotsav is a one-of-a-kind sporting event created by, for, and for Nagpurians. The first-of-its-kind event, and a first for any city in India. This event will take place over 15 days and will feature 54 sports disciplines spread across 62 locations.

The fifth edition of this historic sports event is projected to draw 2280 teams, 5000 officials, and over 54,000 participants.

The podium finishers will get 688 Trophies, 11939 medals. Also a prize money of Rs 1.30 crore will be given during the closing ceremony of this unique sports event. Several individual prizes will be presented during the event. During the team tournament, the best player in each match will be recognised.
