Jasprit Bumrah all set to return to Team India
Star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has discreetly hinted that he’s ready for an India comeback, ending the mystery around his physical condition. Bumrah has been healing from surgery he had earlier this year, and he is expected to travel again overseas next month.
Jasprit Bumrah is all set to return to Team India
Bumrah has been receiving therapy at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, and on Tuesday morning, he posted a video of himself bowling hard in the nets.
Bumrah will be available for the Indian cricket team’s three-match T20I series in Ireland next month, according to a previous report from CricketNext.
It’s unclear, though, whether Bumrah would participate in domestic cricket prior to his departure for India.

Reports according to the NCA
According to reports, the NCA has mandated that players returning from extended injury absences play domestic cricket before participating in international competition.
Bumrah could participate in the Deodhar Trophy (a zonal one-day match) for the West Zone, but there are rumors that the NCA wants to keep his workload at a maximum of four overs for the time being.
The development is a significant boost for India as the 2023 ODI World Cup approaches in less than two months.
Other injured players
The fitness of a number of first-choice stars, including Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer, has the Indian team management concerned.
The selectors will be hoping they are fully healthy and available by the time they have to declare the squad for the ODI World Cup, which will begin on October 5 in Ahmedabad, even if there is no official word on the timeframes of their India comebacks.

Last appearance of Bumrah
Bumrah last appeared for India in a three-match T20I series against Australia in September of last year. He participated in two of those contests in the hopes of returning for the T20 World Cup but was once again forced to sit out due to a stress response in his lower back.
He then abandoned a comeback effort in January of this year before having back surgery, which prevented him from playing in the IPL in 2023 or the full domestic Indian season.
