Highlights of the match
West Indies’ top order was rocked by Mukesh Kumar, who finished with precise figures of 3/30 in seven overs, rendering them unbeatable with the bat in response. In addition to this, Shardul Thakur took four wickets while giving up 37 runs in 6.3 overs of bowling. Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets, and Jaydev Unadkat, who was playing in his maiden ODI in nearly ten years, only managed one. Earlier, Ishan Kishan, another opener, and Gill combined for a strong 143-run partnership until Kishan was dismissed for 77(64). Gill scored 85(92) at that point. He shared a key 69-run partnership with Sanju Samson in the middle overs before Samson left just after reaching his half-century. The innings was then captained by a ferocious 52-ball 70 by Hardik Pandya.

Records broken in IND Vs WI ODI Series
