In just 57 innings, he reached his fourth century, matching Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell for the most hundreds in T20Is, helping his team reach 201/7.

Following his inability to score in the previous game, Yashasvi Jaiswal was also among the runs, hitting 60 off 41 balls. In response, South Africa was dismissed for 95 runs in 13.5 overs, allowing India to win the series by 106 runs. Kuldeep Yadav, a left-arm wrist spinner, achieved career-best T20I figures of 5/17.
