Instead, they were able to get off to a strong start and had an opening stand of 53 runs. When Shai Hope and Keacy Carty came together to put together an undefeated match-winning partnership of 91 runs, it seemed as though India was trying to mount a comeback after they lost a couple of wickets in quick succession. For his outstanding contribution, Shai Hope was named Player of the Match.

Today, the decisive final match of the series will be played at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. The match will begin at 7:00 PM Indian Standard Time, with the toss scheduled for 6:30 PM.
