Kohli has regained his form and has been scoring consistently well in recent times. He also ended his prolonged century drought in Tests with a century against Australia in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The 34-year-old feels that the conditions at the Oval will be a bit different than usual, and the batters have to show solid technique and discipline against Australia.
What does Virat Kohli have to say?
“I think conditions will be a bit more challenging at the Oval; it won’t be a flat wicket, which it is known for. We have to play cautiously and focus on technique and discipline. On the other, hand We have to use our experience in the conditions that will be presented to us. We can enter the WTC final with expectations that the Oval’s pitch is going to play a certain way,” Kohli told Star Sports.

The batting maestro further said that playing at a neutral venue makes the contest even for both teams in the final of the World Test Championship. He suggested that whichever team manages to adapt to the conditions will clinch the title.

Virat on the UK’s condition
The World Test Championship’s beauty is that neither team has a home advantage. So it will be fascinating to watch how both teams adjust to the conditions. “We need to adjust and adapt as it is a one-off test at a neutral venue for both teams, so whichever team adapts well will win the match,” he continued.
The Indian athletes have been working hard in preparation for the massive match that will begin on June 7 since they arrived in England over a week ago. The Asian Giants will want Kohli, 34, to score heavily against Australia after his 1020 Test runs in 16 games played under English conditions.
