Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur, two Indian hitters, have moved up one rank in the most recent Women’s Player Rankings update, which was released on Tuesday.
With 708 points, Mandhana has moved up to fourth place, and Harmanpreet, the Indian captain, has moved up to sixth place with 694 points.
The top ODI hitter in the most recent rankings is Nat Sciver-Brunt, the great batter for England.
In England’s third ICC Women’s Championship ODI triumph over Sri Lanka, Sciver-Brunt broke the record for fastest century by a female player by reaching three figures in just 66 balls. She scored a total of 120 runs off just 74 balls, including 18 fours and a six.
After the performance, the all-rounder has her sights set on more records, as her 807 points rank third among English women’s players in ODI batting rankings history. The only women who rank higher than the 31-year-old are Claire Taylor (814) and Sarah Taylor (812), who attained their respective rankings in July 2009.
After three innings in the series, Hasini Perera of Sri Lanka rose 26 ranks to rank 57th (325).
There was only one change in the top ten bowling rankings (Ayabonga Khaka moved up to seventh and passed Kate Cross), but there were significant shifts among the top 20 contenders.
Nida Dar (up two spots to 19th) and Nashra Sandhu (up one spot to 15th) are leading the way for Pakistan, while Charlie Dean (up to a career-best 12th on the list with 571 points) is leading for Sri Lanka. Sadia Iqbal, a fellow countrywoman, made a mark as well, moving up 13 ranks into the top 50 with back-to-back performances of 2-32 and 2-26 against South Africa.
In the absence of the injured and top-ranked Sophie Ecclestone, England’s Sarah Glenn stepped up, taking five wickets in the ODI series against Sri Lanka to climb 12 spots to 52nd (328).
While Sciver-Brunt’s hitting garnered most of the attention, the most recent update wasn’t all good for Sciver-Brunt, who lost her top status on the ODI all-rounder rankings and fell to third.
Sciver-Brunt was replaced at the top by Ash Gardner (389), while Hayley Matthews (382) also rose above the England stalwart as a result of the adjustments.
With a great performance in England, Chamari Athapaththu gets closer to the top ten, while there were a number of other notable movers.
The following players to raise the stakes are Charlie Dean (up three ranks to equal 15th), Salma Khatun (up two spaces to equal 17th), and Nadine de Klerk (up six spots to equal 38th).
