The International Cricket Council has announced an illustrious commentary panel for the 10th edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, scheduled to begin on February 7 across venues in India and Sri Lanka.
Celebrated broadcasters Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, and Ian Bishop will lead the on-air coverage of the tournament.
The commentary roster brings together a wide range of former international stars and modern-day greats.
Previous T20 World Cup winners, including Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Kumar Sangakkara, Samuel Badree, Robin Uthappa and Carlos Brathwaite, will offer in-depth analysis during the competition.
Adding further depth, the ICC confirmed that active international players will also feature in the commentary box.
South Africa captain and reigning World Test Championship winner Temba Bavuma is set to contribute, while Sri Lanka’s 2014 T20 World Cup-winning captain Angelo Mathews will also be part of the broadcast team covering all 55 matches.
India head into the tournament as the reigning champions and will be looking to achieve an unprecedented milestone by lifting the T20 World Cup trophy for a third time while retaining the title.
The defending champions are among the strongest favourites, backed by exceptional recent form.
Since October 2023, India has registered victories in 48 of their last 56 T20 internationals and recently dominated a home series against New Zealand.
India will open their World Cup campaign on February 7 with a group-stage encounter against the United States at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Alongside the lead commentators, the panel also includes prominent names such as Eoin Morgan, Wasim Akram, Sunil Gavaskar, Matthew Hayden, Michael Atherton, Dale Steyn and Harsha Bhogle, ensuring detailed, balanced and global coverage throughout the tournament.
