Harmanpreet Kaur
Veteran Indian players and even the Board of Control of Cricket (BCCI) have harshly criticized Harmanpreet Kaur for her antics in the third and final ODI match against Bangladesh. The Indian captain has been barred from the next two international games by the International Cricket Council (ICC), which is likely to prevent her from competing in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2018 Asian Games.
Harmanpreet Kaur on participating in the Asian Games in 2023
In order for Harmanpreet Kaur to participate in the championship game, she will be hoping that her team does well while she is away and at least makes it to the Asian Games final.
Cricket appeared in the Asian Games for the third time, following appearances in 2010 and 2014. Both men’s and women’s teams will be sent to the Asian Games by the BCCI for the first time, and as a result of their ICC rankings, both teams will play in the quarterfinal round.
The BCCI sets a tight schedule for the Indian cricket team
The men’s event, which will include 18 teams, is set to begin on September 28. At Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the championship game is scheduled for October 7, two days after the Men’s ODI World Cup gets underway. The young Ruturaj Gaikwad-led team will play on three consecutive days if they make it to the final: October 5 for the quarterfinal, October 6 for the semifinal, and October 7 for the championship game.
September 19 to September 26 is the Women’s Asian Cup
On the other hand, the women’s tournament, which will feature 14 teams, will take place before the men’s competition. The events will begin on September 19 and end on September 26 with the championship game.

Harmanpreet received three demerit points for smashing the stumps out of pure rage after being dismissed, as well as a 50% match fee fine for a Level 2 offence. She was subsequently adjudged to have violated the clause in Article 2.8 of the Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel that prohibits “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision.” She was thus assessed an additional fine equal to 25% of her match fees and given a further penalty point.
