On Wednesday, Gujarat Titans recorded their lowest total in IPL history. They were bowled out for a mere 89 runs against Delhi Capitals.

Opting to field, Delhi Capitals efficiently bowled out former champions Gujarat Titans for a paltry 89 runs.
Rashid Khan was the lone standout for Gujarat Titans. He scored 31 off 24 balls. Sai Sudharsan added 12 runs, and Rahul Tewatia managed 10, with no other Gujarat Titans batsmen reaching double figures.
Gujarat Titans batter David Miller said that he doesn’t see areas of major concern. However, his side didn’t play good cricket in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match. He further added that his team lacked momentum throughout the encounter as they were bowled out for 89 runs.
In pursuit of 90 runs, Delhi Capitals smoothly reached 92/4 within 8.5 overs.
Rashid Khan top-scored for Gujarat with 31 runs off 24 balls, including two fours and a six. Only three batters reached double figures as Mukesh Kumar (3/14), Ishant Sharma (2/8), and Tristan Stubbs (2/11) delivered fiery spells, restricting GT to 89 all out in 17.3 overs.
Jake Fraser-McGurk’s brisk 20 off 10 balls, with four and two sixes, kickstarted Delhi Capitals’ innings. Despite losing wickets, Rishabh Pant (16*) and Sumit Kumar (9*) steered them to victory, securing a win with six wickets and 8.5 overs to spare.
Pant secured the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals sits sixth in the points table with 3 wins and 4 losses. Gujarat Titans occupies the seventh spot with the same record.
