The Google India note compared the batting leadership at the Narendra Modi Stadium in 2023 between Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar and then-captain Sourav Ganguly in 2003.
The note also mentioned that Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar scored the most runs in their respective finals. Interestingly, both Rohit Sharma and Sourav Ganguly led the World Cup squad for the first time as captains, with a 20-year lapse between the events in 2023 and 2003.

The remark also mentioned that a “Rahul” was the wicketkeeper for both World Cups. In 2003, Rahul Dravid took over as wicketkeeper, and in 2023, KL Rahul will take over for the World Cup.
