Fitistan-Ek Fit Bharat Marathon

In 2024, the Bombay Sappers Soldierathon Marathon marks its centenary, and Fitistan-Ek Fit Bharat is commemorating this milestone with a special marathon. This unique event offers runners a rare opportunity to traverse the historic BEG Centre Dighi Hills in Pune, running alongside soldiers on soft ground, surrounded by the lush Dighi hills and Gurnam Lake within the BEG campus.

The marathon features distinctive soft trail routes, providing a contrast to the typical road running experience and reducing stress on knee/ankle joints. Such soft running routes are a rarity in the urban landscapes of Pune and Mumbai. Participants can immerse themselves in the scenic beauty of Gurnam Lake and the forest trails around BEG Centre.

Beyond the physical challenge, the marathon aims to bridge the gap between civilians and the military by allowing people from all walks of life to run alongside soldiers, gaining a firsthand experience of the military way of life.
