The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) recently announced that the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28, with matches to be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Among the most talked-about fixtures in the official release is the scheduled India vs Pakistan match on September 14, 2025, a high-voltage clash expected to draw global attention.
However, the announcement has sparked political and social outrage in India, with critics slamming the move amid ongoing tensions with Pakistan.
Nishant Pitti Questions BCCI Over India-Pakistan Clash
Nishant Pitti, co-founder of EaseMyTrip and a vocal advocate of national interest over business gains, took to X (formerly Twitter) to condemn any possibility of India participating in a match involving Pakistan.
Taking to X, he posted, “I don’t believe Indian players would participate and certainly not with Indian brands sponsoring in any match involving Pakistan. When national sentiment is clear, commercial interests and sporting opportunities must take a backseat. We stood firm in #WCL2025 by stepping away, and that decision still speaks louder than any scoreboard.”
He also noted the absence of any official communication from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding India’s participation in the tournament.

Priyanka Chaturvedi: This is Blood Money
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also strongly criticised the proposed India-Pakistan encounter. She linked the move to alleged inconsistencies in the Government of India’s stance, especially after Operation Sindoor, which involved military and diplomatic action.
“When money is more important than the blood of our fellow Indians and our men in uniform. Shame on GoI for being a hypocrite on Operation Sindoor. And dear BCCI- this is not just blood money that you’ll seek to earn but also cursed money,” she posted on X.
“Blockbuster Fixture: India vs Pakistan scheduled for 14 September, 2025 with potential rematches during Super Four and Final”

While the ACC has confirmed fixtures and formats, the BCCI has yet to issue any formal statement confirming India’s participation in the Asia Cup 2025.
Past precedent, such as India refusing to tour Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup, casts doubt on whether the fixture will go ahead as planned.
