Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, suggested on Saturday that his team will have an advantage against India in Sunday’s Asia Cup Super 4 matchup because of previous experience playing in Sri Lankan conditions. Since the Test series in July, some Pakistani athletes have competed in Sri Lankan competitions, including the Lanka Premier League and one-off ODIs against Afghanistan. “For the past two months or so, we have been performing here in Sri Lanka. We’ve participated in test matches, a series against Afghanistan, and the LPL. So we do have a benefit, as they say. Due to the tournament schedule,
Babar’s team had to alternate between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, but the right-handed batter did not take anything too seriously.
