Anjum Chopra Reacts To Harmanpreet, Says “Kaur Should Have Been Careful With Her Actions”

Anjum Chopra, a former India captain, has witnessed firsthand how rapidly women’s cricket has advanced. She batted with style for India as a left-handed batter in 157 matches (12 Tests, 127 ODIs, and 18 T20Is), 41 of them as captain. She discussed India’s dismal performances against Bangladesh in this interview. India won the T20 series 2-1 and drew the ODI series 1-1 after the last match in Mirpur on Saturday. However, Anjum Chopra reacts to Harmanpreet Kaur rude behavior during the ODI match against Bangladesh.

In the third ODI, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s conduct came under scrutiny as she insulted the umpires during the post-match ceremony and damaged the stumps when she was given out. It will probably result in ICC sanctions. Chopra discussed Kaur’s behavior as well as the team’s journey to the Asian Games in Hangzhou.

Harmanpreet has to be careful with her actions and words

I’m sure she’ll reflect back and acknowledge that she should have been more cautious when expressing her views once the anger has subsided and she has calmed down. Speaking your mind is okay, but when and how you do it matters. She ought to have chosen her words more carefully as well.

Since there was no ball-tracking or Snickometer, it was a little challenging to make a judgment. Could things have been handled better if they (the Indian team) felt that a few decisions did not go their way? Why did the Indian captain have to attend the post-game presentation and express her displeasure? It could have been explained more clearly. How did things get to this point? They may be disappointed because the Indian team didn’t perform up to par, but it might have been handled in the locker room. It was improper to leave the house in this manner.

Could DRS have worked for Kaur?

The production determines whether or not to employ DRS. A distinct set of cameras, technicians, and many other things are required. You probably couldn’t have used DRS there even if you wanted to because the YouTube streaming that went live used a significantly reduced version of the technology.
