US is planning to station nuclear weapons in the UK for the first time in 15 years amid growing fears of a war with Russia, The Telegraph reported, citing documents from the Pentagon. Under the proposal, the nuclear warheads are said to possess a destructive capacity thrice that of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945 and would be stationed at RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk.

Ministry of Education releases All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2021-2022 today. -As per Survey report, the enrolment in higher education has increased to 4.33 crore in 2021-22 from 4.14 crore in 2020-21 and 3.42 crore in 2014-15 and female enrolment in Higher Education increased to 2.07 crore in 2021-22 from 1.57 crore in 2014-15. There was an increase of 51% in enrolment of female SC students in 2021-22 (31.71 lakh), compared to 2014-15, states the survey. -341 Universities/University level institutions have been established since 2014-15 and female teachers have increased to 6.94 lakh in 2021-22 from 5.69 lakh in 2014-15, as per the government-conducted All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2021-2022.
