Government of India signs agreement with Asian Development Bank to avail 100 million US dollar loan
The government of India signs an agreement with the Asian Development Bank to avail 100 million US dollar loan, to improve urban services and tourism facilities in the northeastern state of Tripura. Ministry of Finance says the project will upgrade urban water supply systems by installing 42 kilometers of new transmission and distribution pipes and establishing four new water treatment plants. It will also improve 21 kilometers of urban roads that will incorporate features that respond to the needs of the elderly, women, children, and the differently-abled.

Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector-General (IG) Ashok Yadav said soldiers were alert and cautious in the border area to eliminate any attempts of infiltration by terrorists. He said 250 to 300 terrorists were waiting to infiltrate India according to intelligence inputs, adding that security forces were ready to prepare for any eventuality.
