“Where Rama is, there is Hanuman, The selection of the idol for the Prana Pratishtapana of Lord Rama in Ayodhya has been finalised. A renowned sculptor of our country, our proud Mr @yogiraj_arun, the idol of Lord Rama carved by him will be installed in Ayodhya,” the Union Minister posted from his official handle on X on Monday.

Selection of Ram Lalla’s idol
Meanwhile, speaking to ANI on Monday, Saraswathi, the mother of Yogiraj, said, “This is the happiest moment for us. I wanted to see him carving and giving shape to Ram Lalla but he said he’d take me for a sighting of the idol on the last day. So, I would finally be able to set my eyes on the idol on the day of its grand installation at the Ram Temple.”
The enormous Ram Temple in Ayodhya is being built and is managed by the trust known as Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra. The Trust was considering designs by three sculptors. A 51-inch-tall idol of a five-year-old “Ram Lalla” was one of the images being evaluated for the grand installation inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple.
Earlier, speaking on the selection criteria of the idol of Ram Lalla, the secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Champat Rai, told ANI, “The one, which in the estimation of the Trust, has the most divine look about it and bears a distinct impression of Ram Lalla, would be selected for Pran Pratishtha.”
The auspicious event all set to create history
On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony. Thousands of dignitaries and citizens from all walks of life are scheduled to attend the event, for which preparations are under way.
One week before to the major celebration, on January 16, Vedic rituals will commence for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla (baby Lord Ram) in Ayodhya. On January 22, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, would conduct the principal ceremonies of Ram Lalla’s consecration. The Amrit Mahautsav will be celebrated in Ayodhya from January 14 to January 22.
Additionally, there will be a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya, where thousands of devotees will receive food. In order to accommodate the thousands of pilgrims that are anticipated to arrive in the Uttar Pradesh temple town for the ceremonial consecration, many tent cities are being built in Ayodhya.
The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust said that between 10,000 and 15,000 individuals will be catered for.
To ensure a seamless and spiritually enlightening experience for all guests, local officials are preparing for the expected spike in visitors surrounding the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ event. They are in the process of putting strengthened security measures into place and arranging logistical arrangements.
