‘CONGRESS CHHODO’ TREND

The political crisis in Rajasthan comes just days after the Goa Congress Legislature Party (CLP) merged into the BJP after 8 out of 11 Congress MLAs joined the ruling party in the Centre.

Meanwhile, in Rajasthan, all is not well as Congress leaders loyal to chief minister Ashok Gehlot resigned from the state assembly ahead of the legislature party meeting scheduled for Sunday. The MLAs are opposing the appointment of a new Rajasthan CM from those who rebelled against the Gehlot government in July 2020.

This comes after speculations rose that Sachin Pilot will become the next chief minister after Ashok Gehlot resigns to contest for the Congress Presidential post.
