Soren expressed frustration over the lack of central executive meetings and unilateral decisions within the JMM

Champai Soren criticizes Jharkhand Govrnment

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren has announced his intention to stay in politics and is exploring the possibility of starting a new party. With Assembly elections approaching, Soren made the announcement upon arriving in his ancestral village, Jhilingora, in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. He thanked his supporters and said, “It is a new chapter of my life. I won’t quit politics. The chapter has closed, but I may form a new outfit.”

Recent Controversies and Frustrations

Soren had previously considered retirement, forming a new party, or joining another party. On social media platform X, he claimed that all his scheduled programs were canceled after Hemant Soren’s release from prison on July 3. He was told the cancellations were due to a party meeting, which prevented him from attending government events.

Soren expressed frustration over the lack of central executive meetings and unilateral decisions within the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). He highlighted his limited options as a senior member, noting that the party’s supremo is inactive due to health issues.

Internal Party Conflicts and Speculations

JMM sources revealed internal conflicts, especially after Champai’s request to nominate his son for the Ghatshila seat was rejected. They suggested that Champai might be preparing to leave the party and speculated about his meeting with BJP leaders in Kolkata. JMM leaders stated that Champai’s future actions will reveal his stance on the BJP.
