Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, the BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir election in-charge, accused the Congress-National Conference alliance of working against the interests of the poor. He claimed their manifesto opposes OBC, SC, and ST reservations.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Reddy criticized the alliance for planning to divide Jammu and Kashmir by caste and religion. He questioned Rahul Gandhi’s stance on the National Conference’s pledge to restore Article 370 and hoist a separate flag.
Reddy highlighted the development in Jammu and Kashmir after Article 370’s removal, with 890 central laws implemented. He warned that the Congress and National Conference aim to reverse these gains. He also criticized their proposal for trade with Pakistan, labeling it a central government matter.
Reddy accused the alliance of promoting unrest by promising to release prisoners and restore past disturbances. He condemned their silence on issues like Dr. Beti’s murder in West Bengal and attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Reddy vowed that the BJP would campaign across Jammu and Kashmir to expose the alliance’s intentions. He asserted that the BJP and people of the region would resist efforts to divide the state again.
