A Twitter user recently revealed how her partner apologized after a quarrel and surprised her with a Subway India sandwich.
The viral post caught the attention of Subway India’s Twitter handle, which announced that if the couple’s post receives 1,000 likes, they will fund their next date.
Internet users took it as a challenge, and the initial post receives 6,500 likes in three days.
Subway India fulfilled their promise by sponsoring the couple’s date and sharing an adorable picture of them holding hands while enjoying a Subway sandwich.
”There you go”, reads the caption of the Subway post.
It all started when a guy apologized to his girlfriend with a Subway sandwich and a message that said, “A sub for you cause tum hi ho mera SUB kuch”.
The woman, eventually moved by the gesture, tweeted a photo of the note with the caption, “My bf and I had a fight so this is what he did”.
Subway India retweeted the viral tweet and pledged, “1000 likes and we will sponsor a date for these cuties”.
Twitter users praised Subway for keeping its promise, while others referred to it as a cunning marketing strategy. Others asked the corporation to fund such dates for them as well.
Reacting to the picture, one user remarked, “Now you’ve to sponsor my next date (rare chance). Also, how many likes/RTs for a single like me, for lifetime supplies of Subs?”
“Sponsor for homeless kids like me. Not these rich kids”, another user tweeted.
“Best Marketing Strategy Ever”, the third user commented.
“So cute”, commented the fourth user.
