Christian Michel James, the alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland case, has moved the Delhi High Court to modify his bail conditions.
Justice Swarnakanta Sharma has asked the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to respond. The court will hear the case on April 22.
Michel wants the court to remove the ₹5 lakh deposit requirement. He argues that he is a foreigner with no relatives in India to assist him.
He also seeks relief from the passport submission condition. His old passport has expired, and a new one may take four to eight weeks.
On March 4, the Delhi High Court granted him bail in the money laundering case.
The court asked him to submit a ₹5 lakh personal bond, deposit ₹5 lakh as bail money, and surrender his passport to the special court.
Earlier, on February 18, the Supreme Court granted him bail in the CBI case.
The court ruled that the trial could not finish in 25 years.
Officials arrested Michel on December 4, 2018, after filing an FIR in 2013.
The AgustaWestland case involves 60 accused, but 21 individuals have not joined the probe or received ED summons.
Authorities filed the first prosecution complaint on November 24, 2014.
The 12th supplementary chargesheet came on November 21, 2024. Officials extradited Michel from Dubai in December 2018 and later arrested him.
