Open discussion on performances, playoffs, and playing under MS Dhoni
An interview published on the IPL website featured an open discussion between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway regarding their performances this season. It will also include their views on qualification for the playoffs, and playing under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. Chennai Super Kings’ Opener Devon Conway hoped that Dhoni’s current season would not be his final one to which Gaikwad, added, “No, he’s got five more years in him.
Dhoni’s determination towards Chennai Super Kings despite knee injury
Despite suffering from a knee injury, Dhoni has participated in every CSK game this season. Before CSK’s opening game, he was spotted using a knee support at the open practise at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Conway stated that “His knee is in excellent condition; it’s great to have him, and I’m sure the home fans are excited to see him (in the first qualifier).”
With 1047 runs scored between them in 20 matches, including four 100+ partnerships, Gaikwad and Conway have been crucial to CSK’s success. Their partnership is second only to Mike Hussey and Murali Vjay in terms of runs scored for Chennai.

“Among the many factors that support our collaborations, communication is one of them. I enjoy talking a lot in the middle and am constantly posing queries. Additionally, the left-right combination unquestionably benefits us. Conway remarked, “I know you’re going to start bashing from the other end if I’m stalling in the middle on one end. CSK destroyed the Delhi Capitals by 77 runs in the opening stand, scoring 141 runs off just 87 balls, to advance as the second club to the playoffs this season. On May 23 at Chepauk, the Super Kings will compete against the Gujarat Titans, the reigning champions.
