PM Modi Launches Key Development Projects

Earlier in the day, during the ‘Samudra Se Samriddhi’ programme, PM Modi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth over ₹34,200 crore across multiple sectors.

A significant share of these projects focuses on the maritime sector, where investments of over ₹7,870 crore aim to upgrade critical infrastructure at major Indian ports.

Addressing a large gathering at Jawahar Maidan, PM Modi underlines Bhavnagar’s central role in India’s progress ‘from ocean to prosperity’.

He congratulates the people of Gujarat and expresses gratitude for the birthday wishes, calling the love and blessings from across India and the world his ‘greatest treasure and strength’.

Several children present paintings and sketches to the Prime Minister, who thanks them and instructs officials to collect the artworks.

Highlighting the ongoing ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ from Vishwakarma Jayanti to Gandhi Jayanti, he notes widespread participation in blood donation drives, cleanliness campaigns and health camps. Over one lakh people in Gujarat alone have donated blood during this period.

PM Modi praises these community efforts, especially initiatives benefiting women’s health, and urges continued participation to strengthen the spirit of selfless service.
