Preparing for Maha Kumbh 2025, the Yogi Adityanath government has launched 43 healthcare projects totaling over Rs 77.5 crore to ensure the safety and well-being of millions of devotees. The Health Department has been tasked with completing all medical arrangements by December 15 to support this massive gathering.
To enhance healthcare, the government will provide advanced diagnostics, including X-rays, MRIs, and lab tests. Temporary high-tech hospitals will be set up with a capacity to handle 10 lakh outpatient department (OPD) visits and 10,000 inpatient department (IPD) admissions.
State-of-the-Art Facilities for Devotee Safety
Joint Director of Medical Health VK Mishra confirmed that a dedicated 100-bed hospital will be established at the Parade Ground. A medical team from AIIMS Rae Bareli will also be available to care for devotees. The high-tech hospitals will ensure essential healthcare and diagnostics on-site.
Mishra noted that efforts are focused on preventing health issues and supporting the needs of all attendees. Upgrades to major hospitals in Prayagraj are also underway to provide seamless care for the influx of devotees.
Final Preparations Underway
Following CM Yogi Adityanath’s instructions, officials are working around the clock to complete preparations on schedule. By enhancing healthcare access, the government aims to make this year’s Maha Kumbh a memorable and safe event for everyone involved.
