In a bid to ensure the safety of devotees during Maha Kumbh 2025, the Yogi Adityanath-led government is implementing extensive security measures across the Mela area. Special attention is being given to identifying and monitoring suspicious individuals, with security forces maintaining heightened vigilance throughout the event.
Recently, Maha Kumbh police questioned four foreign nationals from Russia, Germany, and Belarus as part of routine checks. The authorities thoroughly examined their travel documents to ensure they complied with Indian regulations. After verifying their paperwork, authorities allowed three of the individuals to continue their stay, as their documents were in order. However, they discovered that Andre from Moscow had an expired visa and passport, which led to his deportation back to Russia.
Following instructions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, security arrangements at Maha Kumbh significantly bolstered. The state government has prioritized the safety of every devotee, with increased police presence and stricter monitoring. Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi confirmed that Maha Kumbh police are on high alert 24/7, focusing on both local and foreign citizens to ensure a smooth and secure event.

Authorities emphasize that they will promptly deal with anyone involved in suspicious activities, reinforcing that safety remains the top priority throughout the Mahakumbh.
With the entire Mela area under constant surveillance, security forces are leaving no stone unturned to ensure a safe and secure experience for all participants.
