Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the National Conference-Congress coalition government of Jammu and Kashmir for passing a proposal to re-implement Articles 370 and 35A. He urged Congress to oppose the move, warning that if they support it, their political future could be as irrelevant as these articles were in Jammu and Kashmir.
Call to Congress
Yogi Adityanath emphasized that Congress should stand against reintroducing Section 370 and 35A. He stated that if Congress does not oppose the move, it could suffer the same fate as the now-abolished articles, which had long been a divisive issue in the region.
Celebration of Chhath Festival
Yogi Adityanath attended the Chhath Mahotsav held on the banks of the Gomati River on Thursday. In his address, he congratulated the devotees in Bhojpuri and highlighted the significance of the festival, noting that it had become a global event over the last 40 years. He praised Bhojpuri culture for its distinct identity and role in spreading harmony across communities.
Yogi emphasized that the Chhath festival symbolizes unity and devotion, reminding everyone to set aside differences of caste, region, and language. He stressed that the festival’s celebration reflects the country’s commitment to social harmony and unity.
