PM Modi reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to Bihar’s growth as he launched ₹5,700 crore projects in Siwan.
At the rally, PM Modi highlighted the Centre-state ‘double-engine government’ driving Bihar’s infrastructure and socio-economic growth.
He later echoed this sentiment on social media, stating on X (formerly Twitter), “The zeal and enthusiasm of the people in Siwan shows how deep their faith is in the double engine government for the development of Bihar.”
In a major transport upgrade, PM Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express connecting Pataliputra in Bihar with Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, passing through Muzaffarpur and Bettiah.
The express service is expected to drastically reduce travel time and enhance regional connectivity.
He inaugurated the ₹400 crore Vaishali–Deoria rail line and launched a new train service to boost Bihar’s rail network.
PM Modi handed over PMAY-U house keys to several beneficiaries, marking a key welfare milestone.
The event marked the Grih Pravesh of 6,600 houses, and PM Modi released the first PMAY-U instalment for more families.
PM Modi flagged off a Marhowra-built locomotive for export to Guinea, showcasing India’s manufacturing strength.
This is the first export from the facility, aligning with the ‘Make in India’ initiative and boosting India’s industrial footprint abroad.
PM Modi greeted the crowd in Bhojpuri, saying, “Raua… sab logon ke pranam karta hi,” drawing loud cheers.
Sharing the stage with PM Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expressed gratitude for the Centre’s decision to conduct a caste-based Census, calling it a ‘historic’ step that would contribute to better planning and inclusive growth for the state.
Nitish Kumar joined PM Modi along with NDA leaders, signalling strong political unity in Bihar.
