World Food India 2025: PM Modi To Launch Largest-Ever Edition With 90+ Countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate World Food India 2025 at 6 PM in New Delhi on Thursday.

The event highlights India’s growing role in the global food processing and supply chain, positioning the nation as a ‘Global Food Hub’.

Building on the success of previous editions, this year’s WFI is expected to be the largest so far, drawing over 90 participating countries, more than 2,000 exhibitors, and tens of thousands of stakeholders from across the globe.

The mega event brings together senior government dignitaries, investors, industry leaders, food companies, producers, processors, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, logistics operators, cold chain developers, startups, and innovators.

For the first time, all stakeholders across the farm-to-fork value chain will converge on one platform to showcase their strengths.

The event will feature sectoral exhibitions highlighting innovations in food processing, packaging, machinery, and cold chain infrastructure.

High-level knowledge sessions and panel discussions will bring together global thought leaders, policymakers, and industry experts.

Networking and Culinary Experiences

World Food India 2025 offers a major opportunity for B2B and B2G networking, facilitating new trade partnerships and strategic collaborations.

Alongside the formal sessions, the event will host culinary showcases and chef competitions, celebrating India’s rich food heritage while reflecting global trends in sustainable, healthy, and future-ready foods.

Two major international events will run alongside WFI 2025.

Furthermore, the 3rd Global Food Regulators Summit, organised by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), will spotlight global regulatory cooperation.

The 24th India International Seafood Show (IISS), hosted by the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI), will focus on India’s growing seafood exports and new international market linkages.

This year’s edition names New Zealand and Saudi Arabia as Partner Countries, while Japan, UAE, Vietnam, and Russia will participate as Focus Countries, reflecting India’s strengthening food sector cooperation worldwide.

Aligned with Vision 2047

Officials noted that Viksit Bharat 2047 envisions India as a developed, inclusive, and globally competitive nation. World Food India 2025 plays a pivotal role in this roadmap by driving growth in the food processing sector.

Anchored on five strategic pillars – sustainability, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, global leadership, and innovation – WFI 2025 promotes climate-smart technologies, nutrition-focused products, and advanced food-tech while boosting micro-enterprises, rural prosperity, and job creation in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

By bringing together technology, investment, and innovation, World Food India 2025 is expected to reduce post-harvest losses, increase farmer incomes, and attract global capital into India’s food sector.

The event not only reinforces India’s role as a rising global food hub but also represents a significant milestone in the nation’s journey towards Vision 2047.
