According to authorities, on Wednesday, a 33-year-old woman with her six-month-old kid allegedly jumped to death from the 16th floor of their Greater Noida apartment.
The woman suffered from depression
According to the authorities, the woman was not doing well and was also struggling with depression. The incident happened inside a group housing complex in Greater Noida West late on Tuesday night.
What did the police say?
“The woman was living with her family in the society. Her brother informed the police that she was suffering from an illness and was in depression,” a police official said.
Investigation going on
The local police station is handling additional legal actions in this situation, the police official continued. According to mental health professionals, suicides can be avoided if first responders, such as parents, siblings, spouses, or friends, notice a change in a person’s behaviour and reach out to them to reassure them of their worth.
