A woman who had left her ill husband and was residing with another man has reportedly taken her own life by consuming poison in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district, the police said on Monday.
On Sunday, Ruby (38), a resident of the Pipri area, tragically took her own life by consuming poison, as confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police Samar Bahadur Singh. The husband of the deceased, Madanlal Pasi, had been unwell for an extended period, and Ruby sought unconventional means, such as exorcism, for his treatment. It was during this time that she became acquainted with Raju Pasi, a resident of Nizampur village.

As their relationship developed, Ruby fell in love with Raju Pasi and eventually started living with him. However, an altercation between Ruby and Raju took place over the phone on Sunday afternoon, leading to a devastating outcome as the woman consumed poison. These details were shared by the police officer investigating the case.
The officer mentioned that Raju Pasi has been located in the Surat district of Gujarat. In response, a police team has been dispatched to apprehend him. The body of the deceased has been transferred for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances surrounding her untimely demise.
