Weather Update: The northern region is likely to experience hot and humid weather conditions as the temperature stayed above normal. The India Meteorological Department has forecast dry weather conditions to stay for the next few days, as experts said that the transition from winter to summer has already begun.

Stray thunder is possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Serious poor condition is possible across the subcontinent, especially hazardous air pollution in the plains of the northern half of the subcontinent.
Cold-wave conditions might grip Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
Stray thunder is possible in Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala afternoon onwards.
In the morning, fog is likely in northern Uttar Pradesh.
Hazardous air pollution is expected in NCR, over the plains of the North.
Delhi’s Weather
Delhi is likely to witness mainly clear sky, with the maximum temperature expected to settle at 24 degrees Celsius.
The weather agency IMD recorded the minimum temperature at 9.5 degrees Celsius, which is one notch above normal. The relative humidity at 8:30 am was 83 per cent.
The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 198 at 9 am, which is in the moderate category. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
Normal rainfall in Feb
Northwest India is expected to witness normal rainfall in February while cold wave days in the region are less likely, said IMD on Friday.
India Meteorological Department has predicted that north Indians will get a respite from the cold, as the temperature is expected to rise in the Delhi-NCR region; however, rainfall is not expected in the next week.
The IMD said that the minimum temperature is likely to remain normal and below normal in most parts of the country except the northeast and adjoining.
