‘We Support Peace’ Campaign Reaches Ladakh Under Acharya Lokesh’s Leadership

Acharya Lokesh led the global ‘WE SUPPORT PEACE’ campaign to the Himalayan region of Ladakh, bringing together spiritual leaders from diverse faiths to promote peace, compassion, coexistence, and human unity.

The initiative reflected India’s enduring ideals of unity in diversity and the philosophy that the world is one family.

The programme took place under the leadership of Acharya Lokesh, founder of World Peace Centre and Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti.

Religious representatives from Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Brahma Kumaris traditions joined the gathering and collectively advocated stronger interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.

Acharya Lokesh emphasised that peace has become humanity’s greatest necessity in the present era. He stated that the modern world continues to confront war, violence, terrorism, extremism, social imbalance, and rising mental stress.

Acharya Lokesh explained that peace should not merely signify the absence of conflict but should represent compassion, tolerance, mutual respect, inner fulfilment, and collective understanding.

Bhikkhu Sanghasena from the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre attended the event alongside Umer Ahmed Ilyasi and Paramjit Singh Chandok.

Representatives from the Baháʼí and Brahma Kumaris communities also participated in the programme.

All participating leaders unanimously stressed the importance of strengthening human values, social harmony, and dialogue among faiths to create a stable and peaceful global society. They highlighted the need for collective responsibility in preserving peace amid growing international tensions and social divisions.

The campaign reached Ladakh and carried a spiritual and cultural message of unity from the Himalayas. It promoted humanitarian values and peaceful engagement across the wider world.
