WATCH: “Get Rahul Gandhi Married”, Says Woman Farmer To Sonia Gandhi, Her Response Is Like Every Indian Mom

They also had a usual dining chitchat when a woman asked who was more mischievous and Priyanka answered sharing her anecdotes that it was her brother Rahul.

Are you in the age of 25-35 and unmarried? You must have been showered with hundreds of pieces of advice and suggestions on a daily basis and Indian parents obviously leave no chance to poke their child or answer sarcastically when they come across marriage-questions. Former president of the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi is no exception.

Recently, woman farmers from Sonepat, Haryana were invited to 10 Janpath for lunch and one may see the grace and simplicity of the Gandhi family in the video recently uploaded by Rahul Gandhi on YouTube and his X handle (formerly called Twitter).

While having lunch with the Gandhi family, women shared their daily life concerns including inflation, joblessness, etc. They also had a usual dining chitchat when a woman asked who was more mischievous and Priyanka answered sharing her anecdotes that it was her brother Rahul. She used to pinch or bite him which make scars whereas he used to punch Priyanka on the back which eventually had no marks. So, their father Rajiv Gandhi used to consider Priyanka naughtier and Rahul was usually safe.

When a woman asked Sonia Gandhi to get Rahul married, she replied with an ounce of sweetness like all Indian mothers and said, “Ap ladki dhoondho na” (you find a girl for him). Rahul promptly answered – Ho jayegi (it will be done).

On if Sonia knows cooking or not, Priyanka answered, “She doesn’t cook nowadays for her health and age but used to cook all the Indian dishes. We’re Kashmiri Brahmins, so we don’t use onion and garlic in our food, we put curd in oil and cook it till red to make gravy, and Maa knows all of this. She has been cooking all these cuisines since marriage, kheer, and everything.”

Rahul met these women a few weeks ago when he was sowing paddy in the field and he asked them to come for lunch at his residence in Delhi. This Delhi visit of those farmers was a promise fulfilled, a video of which has been shared by him.
