Union Home Minister Amit Shah conveyed his gratitude to voters across Gujarat and the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency following the Bharatiya Janata Party’s comprehensive win in the state’s local self-government elections.
Shah stated that the election outcome demonstrated widespread public backing for the BJP in both urban centres and rural regions. He remarked that the results reinforced faith in the party’s development-focused policies and governance model.
“This victory is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s spirit of ‘Nation First’, politics of development, and the tireless hard work and intense efforts of the BJP’s dedicated workers under extreme heat,” the Minister stated.
Shah extended his congratulations to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, BJP state president Jagdish Vishwakarma, organisation general secretary Ratnakarji, along with party workers statewide, for their contributions to the success.
According to him, the verdict reflected public approval of the administration’s aim to build a ‘peaceful, secure, developed and prosperous Gujarat’, alongside its welfare-driven initiatives.
Shah also called on all victorious candidates to uphold their responsibilities, urging them to remain dedicated and answerable to the people they serve.
The BJP delivered an impressive performance across several municipal and rural bodies within the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, including the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Kalol, Sanand and Bavla taluka panchayats, Kalol nagarpalika, as well as the Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar district panchayats.
Shah congratulated the successful candidates and commended party workers for what he termed ‘sustained grassroots mobilisation’.
Chief Minister’s Response
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also issued a statement praising the party leadership, candidates, and workers for the electoral outcome, noting that it signalled continued public confidence in the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The results reflected continued public trust in the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under whom Gujarat had seen significant development over the past three decades,” Patel said.
He further added, “Positive changes have taken place in the lives of the poor, youth, farmers, women’s empowerment, and every section of society.”
Patel thanked voters across Gujarat, describing the verdict as both “the victory of development” and “the victory of Gujarat”.
