In the biggest case of the 26-year-old Fodder Scam (Chara Ghotala), the special CBI court in Ranchi has pronounced its verdict. Following thorough discussions from all sides involved in the case on July 21, the court had reserved its verdict. In the Chara Ghotala case, the court has acquitted 35 individuals. This list includes names such as Anul Haq, Rajendra Pandey, Ram Sevak Sahu, Dinanath Sahay, Saket, Harish Khanna, Kailash Mani Kanshyap, Baldev Sahu, Siddharth Kumar, Nirmala Prasad, Anita Kumari, Ekraram, Mohusain, Sanawul Haq, Sairu Nisha, Chanchala Sinha, Jyoti Kakkad, Saraswati Devi, Ramavatar Sinha, Reema Badaik, and Madhu Pathak. Additionally, in this case, the court has pronounced 90 individuals as guilty.
In connection with the illegal withdrawal of ₹36.26 crores from the Doranda treasury, trial was underway for 125 accused, including former MLA Gulshan Lal Azadani. This scandal occurred between 1990 and 1995. The Fodder Scam case involves 45 public servants and 9 female accused.
During the trial, 62 accused have passed away. In this case, 124 accused, including 38 public servants and 16 women, were on trial. Based on the testimonies and evidence presented by the witnesses by the CBI, the court has declared 90 individuals guilty and their sentencing will be decided in due course. The court has acquitted 35 accused individuals.
