In the wake of Ayodhya’s vibrant Deepotsav celebrations, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath began his day early on Thursday by visiting the sacred Hanumangarhi temple to offer prayers to Bajrangbali.
From Hanumangarhi, he proceeded to the iconic Ramjanmabhoomi site, where he sought blessings from Lord Ram Lala. He spoke of his hope that the festival brings joy and prosperity, reminding devotees of Ayodhya’s spiritual significance during Diwali.
Following the temple visits, Chief Minister Adityanath reached the Meerapur Bulandi Dalit Basti, located in Abhiram Das Ward. Here, he marked the festival by distributing sweets, clothing, and chocolates to children and women in the community.
The children’s excitement was evident as they received treats from the Chief Minister, adding warmth to the Diwali festivities.
Reflecting on Diwali’s significance, CM Adityanath shared with the media that the festival brings light and unity, reminiscent of the joyous return of Lord Ram after a 14-year exile.
The Chief Minister stated, “This year is particularly special, as it marks the return of Lord Ram to his rightful abode after a 500-year gap.”
“Diwali symbolises the spread of knowledge, faith, and prosperity. “I hope this festival inspires enthusiasm and joy among the people of our state and all followers of Sanatan Dharma,” CM further added.
Later, CM Adityanath visited Karsevakpuram, meeting with local saints who were instrumental in organizing the Deepotsav.
CM Adityanath asserted, “Deepotsav has become synonymous with Ayodhya and honours our country on the global stage.”
“The government has fulfilled the aspirations of the citizens and sants of Ayodhya. Now, it is the collective responsibility of everyone to elevate this honour to new heights,” he further added.
The Chief Minister cautioned that this was no moment to relax, stating, “Those who remain idle will miss out. We must avoid divisions based on caste, opinion, language, or religion, as such divisions will only weaken us. Our heritage and nation are secure now, and we must boldly counter anyone who questions our existence. The future of India is intertwined with Sanatan Dharma, and our identity should be defined by our commitment to service rather than by mere advertisements.”
In addition to these events, CM Adityanath paid homage to those who sacrificed for the Ram Temple and met with senior spiritual leaders, including Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust President Nritya Gopal Das Maharaj.
He visited the Mani Ram Das Cantonment to connect with residents, later meeting with revered figures such as Suresh Das Ji Maharaj at Digambar Akhara and Kishore Das Ji Maharaj at Bada Bhakt Mal.
These leaders honored him with a shawl, expressing mutual respect and blessings for the auspicious occasion.
Throughout his Ayodhya visit, CM Yogi Adityanath underscored the significance of the Deepotsav, highlighting its role in fortifying Ayodhya’s heritage and the enduring values of Sanatan Dharma.
