UPGIS 2023: Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma
UPGIS 2023: The Global Investors Summit held in Lucknow, from February 10 to 12, on the one hand, has written a new chapter under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, smashing all the old records. On the other hand, the department of Urban Development and Energy, under the leadership of A K Sharma has changed the picture of the towns of Uttar Pradesh and attracted investors like never before.
They say, “Kaun kehta hai assamaan mein suraakh nahin ho sakata, ek patthar to tabiyat se uchhaalo yaaron”. Keeping these lines in mind, the Uttar Pradesh government has signed a record MoU worth Rs 33.50 lakh crore about one-third i.e. Rs 9.75 lakh crore of which is contributed by the departments of Minister A K Sharma.
If we keep aside the political differences and tussle then an ordinary citizen can easily tell that Uttar Pradesh has now turned into a fear-free state that runs on law and order. It is a difficult task for any government to stop infrequent incidents which are not predetermined. However, in UP, where once upon a time the morale of criminals used to be so high that industrialists feared coming to the state, now criminals are seen calling themselves social workers or keeping their distance from crime.

The interference of criminals in government tenders is about to end, so any ordinary citizen can be part of the work done in the state. This is why the most populous state is spreading its wings in the field of industrial development. The same is very evident by the MoU signed in the Global Investors Summit that was organized in Lucknow on February 10 to 12. The glimpse of the beautiful cities of the state presented at the summit truly depicts the shades of New India.
In an era, Subah-e-Banaras and Sham-e-Awadh were used to describe the civilization and rich culture of Uttar Pradesh, and people used to come from far and wide to enjoy the mornings of Varanasi and the evenings of Lucknow. This not only added to the revenue collection of the state but local shopkeepers and businessmen also benefited, and different ways of employment were curated for people.
In the modern age, when a government works by striking a balance between culture and development, it is better for nature and the citizens both. No one can deny that G-20 will certainly act as a booster in enhancing the image of Uttar Pradesh on the canvas of the world.
