Meerut: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak convened a meeting of the Lok Sabha Election Steering Committee at the BJP regional office in Meerut on Friday. He assured the workers of escorting voters to the booths on polling day. The meeting, held at the regional office located on Baghpat Road, saw Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak urging party leaders and workers to actively participate in the election campaign. Motivating the workers, he likened Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram, to a divine presence, stating that his mere presence brings blessings akin to those of Lord Shri Ram.
Pathak emphasized Meerut’s rise as the top Lok Sabha constituency in India during MP Rajendra Aggarwal’s three terms, attributing it to the development initiatives undertaken. He highlighted the significant reduction in travel time between Meerut and Delhi, now a mere 45 minutes, thanks to rapid rail connectivity, effectively making Meerut an extension of Delhi. Stressing on the pivotal role of Meerut in national affairs, he urged workers to ensure every household reaches the polling booths unitedly.
Pathak urged workers to set aside differences and unite for the election campaign, expressing confidence in the NDA government’s re-election under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, predicting a landslide victory with over 400 seats. The meeting was attended by MP Rajendra Agarwal, former MLA Satyaveer Tyagi, Metropolitan President Suresh Jain Rituraj, Cantt MLA Amit Agarwal, MLC Sarojini Agarwal, District President Shivkumar Rana, former MLA Ravindra Bhadana, Kamaldutt Sharma, and Sanjay Tyagi.
