Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently shared a video on social media platform X, in which he supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s predictions about the Congress party. He emphasized that when it comes to Congress politics and leadership, Modi’s words have consistently proven to be accurate.
PM Modi criticized the Congress leadership for continuously insulting Veer Savarkar. He claimed that Congress uses Savarkar’s name to gain votes in Maharashtra, first attacking him and then halting these statements when politically convenient. Modi pointed out that the party’s approach is often driven by short-term political gains.
He also referenced a statement by Rahul Gandhi, in which Gandhi questioned whether Savarkar ever advocated for violence. PM Modi responded by labeling Congress politics as shallow, saying there is no unity or clear leadership within the party.
PM Modi also commented on the shifting political strategy within Congress. He noted that many Congress leaders have lost the confidence to contest Lok Sabha elections and are now focusing on reaching Parliament through the Rajya Sabha. Modi claimed that Congress sometimes expels leaders temporarily, only to reintroduce them when it suits their political agenda.
In his video, Hardeep Puri agreed with PM Modi, stating that the Prime Minister’s words about the future of Congress are now proving to be true. Puri attributed the party’s difficulties to weak strategy and lack of leadership. He highlighted issues ranging from the party’s treatment of Savarkar to growing dissatisfaction among its leaders. Puri placed Congress’s political problems under scrutiny, calling attention to the party’s internal issues and leadership crisis.
