Two Soldiers Martyred, Four Terrorists Killed In Kulgam Encounter

Today, tragic events unfolded in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district as two soldiers lost their lives in separate encounters with terrorists. Following specific intelligence inputs, security forces launched anti-terror operations at two different locations.

In Modergam village, a soldier was fatally wounded in intense gunfire from terrorists during a joint operation by CRPF, Army, and local police. The forces swiftly cordoned off the area where two terrorists were reportedly holed up.

Simultaneously, in Frisal area, drone footage captured the aftermath of a fierce gun battle where four terrorists were killed. One soldier was martyred and another injured during the encounter. Despite heavy resistance, the bodies of the terrorists could not be retrieved.

The region has witnessed an uptick in terrorist activities recently, with several encounters reported across various districts. Just last month, security forces successfully eliminated three terrorists in the Gandoh area of Doda district.
