In south Delhi’s Mahipalpur, a tragic incident unfolded where two brothers were allegedly fatally stabbed by their brother-in-law outside a hotel on Thursday night. The Delhi Police reported this unfortunate event on Friday, shedding light on the circumstances.

According to Manoj C, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South-West), a dispute between the two parties escalated into a quarrel, followed by a physical altercation that tragically resulted in the deaths of the siblings. The suspected perpetrator, a 25-year-old named Umang (only one name provided by the police), was apprehended and taken into custody.

The victims were identified as Rajesh Yadav, aged 42, and his younger brother, Ranjan Yadav, aged 26. Rajesh was employed at a bank in Gurugram, while Ranjan worked as a peon at a medical clinic in Malviya Nagar. The two brothers resided in Mahipalpur with their respective families.

Rajesh had marital ties with Umang’s sister, who was employed at the hotel in Mahipalpur. The DCP mentioned that there were existing conflicts within Rajesh’s marriage. In an attempt to address the issue, the two brothers visited the hotel on Thursday evening to converse with Umang. However, the situation escalated, leading to a physical altercation during which Umang allegedly stabbed both brothers.

Umang was apprehended by the police at the scene and subsequently arrested. He now faces charges of murder in connection with the tragic incident.
