Truck Hijack In Filmy Style! Tomato Roberry In Bengaluru

You all must have heard and read about multiple cases of Airplane hijacks or even bus or train hijacks but this is a case of a Truck hijack. The entire nation knows the condition of tomato prices. The most common fruit cum vegetable is getting the most luxurious treatment these days. Everyone is talking about tomatoes only. Amidst this, a gang from Bengaluru went on to actually hijack a truck to tomato roberry. The truck was carrying around 2.5 tonnes, that is 2500 kilograms.

How was the Tomato Roberry executed…

The gang executed the plan under the garb of a road accident. A farmer from Hiriyur in Karnataka’s Chitradurga distirct – Mallesh was taking the truck to Kolar. The truck got hit into a car that was being driven by the accused.  The truck broke the mirror of the car. The drivers of the car started asking for a huge amount of money as a compensation from the farmer and his driver. They started showcasing the matter as if it was a road rage accident.

Gang hijacks the truck

When the farmer was not able to pay the compensation amount, the gang took control of the truck. They did the act forcibly. They finally drove the truck away. The driver and the farmer were left behind. The car mirror actually cost the farmer a fat amount of Rs. 2.5 lakhs to Rs. 3 lakhs.

Tomatoes’ soaring prices have made such crimes common. Just the other day, a case of tomato theft came up. The case was from Belur in the Hassan district that reported theft of over 2.7 lakh worth of tomatoes. The Indian public is wishing for lowering of tomato prices as soon as possible.  India is facing such situation because of the extreme weather.
