Two devastating accidents unfolded on Monday night, one in Kannur, Kerala, and the other in Bhagalpur, Bihar, claiming multiple lives in each tragedy.
Both incidents, occurring late at night, have left behind scenes of grief and despair, with local authorities and residents rallying to address the aftermath and provide support to the affected families.
Kerala: Tragic Collision In Kannur Claims 5 Lives
A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Kannur, Kerala, on Monday night as a family’s car tragically collided with a lorry. This devastating incident claimed the lives of 5 individuals. Among them was a child, plunging the community into mourning.

The incident happened at approximately 10:15 PM on Monday within the Kannapuram vicinity of Kannur. The family of five was en route from Thalassery to Kasaragod when the accident occurred.
Police reported that 4 individuals died on the spot in the car. The passing of the nine-year-old was confirmed at Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. Additionally, the lorry driver sustained injuries in the accident.
As per reports, the lorry transporting gas cylinders was coming from Mangaluru in Karnataka.
The deceased have been identified as KN Padmakumar (59) from Kalichanadukkam, Choorikkatt Sudhakaran (52) from Bheemanadi, Ajitha (35), Kozhummal Krishnan (65), and Akash (9).
Fire department officials and police promptly arrived at the scene. Additionally, Motor Vehicle Department authorities were present on-site. The police have detained both the lorry and its driver.
Bihar: Truck Collision Kills 6 In Bhagalpur
Meanwhile, in another unfortunate turn of events, a collision occurred when a truck laden with goods lost control and fell on an SUV in Bihar’s Bhagalpur late night on Monday. At least 6 people, including a child, lost their lives in the accident.

The accident occurred on National Highway 80, near Aamapur village, falling under the jurisdiction of the Ghogha police station.
As per reports, a speeding truck, laden with rods, overturned and fell into the car after suffering a tyre burst.
The individuals in the SUV were members of a wedding party (baraat), en route from Dhapari in Munger to Shrimatpur in Kahalgaon.
Local authorities and residents, aided by an earthmover, labored tirelessly to remove the mortal remains of the victims from the wreckage.
The bodies were sent to the nearby hospital for post-mortem examination.
