Reacting to the threats Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Ajay Maken said that It is beyond his imagination that Indian politics has reached to an unprecedented low.
Maken also questioned BJP and allies for not releasing statement on the threats to Rahul Gandhi.
Ajay Maken stated that Rahul Gandhi’s family has made significant sacrifices for the country, citing Indira and Rajiv Gandhi’s assassinations. He expressed concern over alleged threats to Rahul Gandhi’s life, referencing comments made by senior BJP leaders and allies.
Maken criticized the lack of condemnation or action from BJP leadership. Congress has filed complaints against four individuals, including a Union Minister and MLAs from Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
Maken emphasized Rahul Gandhi’s commitment to advocating for the rights of the poor and marginalized, suggesting these threats aim to suppress his voice.
He reaffirmed Congress’s resolve to stand against BJP’s threats. A police complaint has been lodged, seeking strict action against those making these alleged death threats.
Congress MP in Rajya Sabha, Ajay further said, “a Government of India minister, Ravneet Singh Bittu, reportedly labeled Rahul Gandhi a terrorist due to disagreements over his views. In response, Congress filed a police complaint, seeking action against Bittu and other leaders for alleged death threats. Congress views this as a serious intimidation tactic aimed at silencing Rahul Gandhi’s advocacy for the poor and marginalized.”

Earlier, Ajay Maken approached police in national capital. Maken filed complaint against BJP leader for making life threats to leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi.
