Teen girl caught at Jaipur airport while trying to fly to Pakistan to meet 'Instagram friend'
A 16-year-old girl trying to board a flight to Pakistan to meet a boy who lives in Lahore on Friday afternoon sent police and intelligence agencies into a frenzy.
When the Hindu girl was seen at the airport requesting for a ticket to Lahore, security personnel noticed her. But she didn’t have a passport, a visa, or any other paperwork on her.
She told the airport police that her name was “Gazal Mohammad” and that she was a “verified” Pakistani national who had traveled to India with her aunt three years prior but had decided to return because the aunt in Sikar had been pressuring her to marry her cousin. The security personnel quickly sent her to them. She claimed she came to Jaipur from Sikar by bus and was helped by two boys she met in the bus.

The event occurred shortly after Anju, a woman from the Alwar district, traveled to Pakistan to wed her lover, prompting Jaipur Police to notify the state intelligence. Senior officials arrived at the police station in a posse, including DCP (East) Gyan Chandra Yadav and ACP (Malviya Nagar) Chiranji Lal Meena.
A search for the girl’s aunt was launched at around 4pm by the Sikar police and the local intelligence branch, but it was unsuccessful despite door-to-door enquires in the village the girl had specified. By six o’clock in the evening, Sikar police reported that no such woman and no girl going by the name of Gazal lived there.

“Aslam and the girl have been chatting on Instagram for a year now. She said the same boy was also in contact with one of her classmates,” said an official.
The two boys whose help the girl took to come to Jaipur are being interrogated by a police team, said the official.
